2. POSHANU CHAM TOWER
Poshanu Towers, located on Ba Nai Hill – 7 km to the northeast of Phan Thiet City, are one of the most precious and important cultural vestiges of the Champa Kingdom. Built in the late 8th century, this group of towers worships the Shiva Genie, who is highly respected by the Cham. Beside these three towers, there was once a temple, but it has been buried in the ground for more than 300 years. Inside the main tower, there is an altar, on which a couple of Liga-Yoni, a symbol of the existence of the Shiva Genie, is worshipped. Complex consisting ruins of 3 Cham towers dated back from the 9th century on top of a hill.
For hundreds of years being forgotten, from 1990 to 2000, the Poshanu Towers had been repaired and embellished.
Nowadays, Champa people from surrounding areas come to the Towers every year to conduct different custom rituals
3. VAN THUY TU TEMPLE
Vạn Thủy Tú is a temple located on Ngư Ông Street, Đức Thắng Ward, Phan Thiết City, Bình Thuận Province. This is a place of worship for the Nam Hải deity, also known as Cá Ông, according to the beliefs of the local fishermen. Temples are often built right by the coast of fishing villages. This temple was constructed by the fishermen of Thủy Tú village in the year Nhâm Ngọ 1762 to honor Cá Ông (whales), with the main hall, the Tiền Hiền worship house, and the Võ Ca arranged in a “Tam” shape, facing east. When it was first built, the temple’s entrance was right by the sea, but today the coastline has moved more than 100 meters away. The Thủy Tú village temple is one of the oldest temples related to the fishing profession in Bình Thuận. Inside the temple, there are many cultural heritages in Hán-Nôm related to the sea, reflected in the worship content of the altars, worship statues, horizontal boards, couplets, and the inscriptions on the great bell.
4. Duc Thanh School
Trường Dục Thanh, formerly known as Dục Thanh Academy, was established in 1907. The school is located in Thành Đức village, now at 39 Trưng Nhị street, Đức Nghĩa ward, Phan Thiết. It was built right on the beautiful and serene banks of the Cà Ty river. President Hồ Chí Minh also taught here in 1910 before going to Saigon to seek a path to save the country. After more than 100 years, the school has preserved its ancient architecture with a row of wooden buildings, interspersed with neatly trimmed green gardens. Despite enduring the ups and downs of history, the architecture of the school remains almost intact. From a distance, one can immediately recognize the school situated next to the serene Ca Ty River with its ancient moss-covered roofs. The wooden gate from years past is still preserved, making visitors feel as though they have stepped back in time upon arriving here.
